Washington: Convincing victory in the US presidential election, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and vice presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris have begun to focus on public health and the economy. Both these areas have been badly affected due to the coronavirus epidemic.

According to the latest estimate, Biden has received 264 electoral college votes out of 538 and needs just six electoral college votes to win. At least 270 electoral college votes are required to become President in the US. In a nationwide address to the headquarters of his campaign in Wilmington, Delaware, Biden said Friday night, "While waiting for the final outcome, I want people to know that we are not waiting to work."

The 77-year-old former Vice President said, "I want everyone to know that from the very first day we are going to implement our plan to control the virus. Those who have lost their lives cannot be brought back, but many lives will be saved in the coming months." The day before, Biden and Harris held a meeting with a group of experts in public health and economy.
