World Bank cautions against fake debit and credit cards in its name in India

WORLD BANK warned the general public on Friday to beware of fake debit and credit cards carrying its name and logo. The World Bank has issued this warning after some such cases are reported. Recently debit / credit cards bearing the name and logo of the World Bank are being seen.

Recently, the World Bank stated in its warning that the World Bank Group does not allow any debit or credit card issuance. The World Bank Group has no relationship with any person or group issuing such fake cards. Therefore, we warn the general public to stay away from these fraudsters. The bank said that it can visit the World Bank's website www.worldbank.org

It has been learned that in the fortnight ended October 23, banks' loans grew by 5.06 percent and reached Rs 103.39 lakh crore. Meanwhile, bank deposits also grew by 10.12 percent to Rs 142.92 crore. This information has been given in the Reserve Bank data. According to the data, in the fortnight ended October 25, a year ago, the banks' loan was Rs 98.40 lakh crore and deposits amounted to Rs 129.73 lakh crore. According to the data, in the last fortnight ended October 9, 2020, bank loans grew by 5.66 percent and deposits by 10.55 percent. According to the data, the growth rate of non-food bank loans declined to 5.8 percent in September 2020, from 8.1 percent in the same month last year. Credit to the industry registered a 'zero' increase in September 2020, up from 2.7 percent in the year-ago period.
