LOS ANGELES: Blues musician John Mayer has revealed his decision to drop out of the dating game. The Grammy winner, aged 45, as per reports 'People' magazine, discussed the role his sobriety has played in his dating tendencies on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast's first-ever holiday special.
"Dating is no longer a codified activity for me, it does not exist in a kind of... it's not patterned anymore," he told host Alex Cooper.
After six years of recovery, John Mayer's perspective on dating and relationships has undergone a significant change.
"To be completely honest, I don't think I need to date. I don't really do it. I stopped drinking around six years ago, so I lack the necessary liquid bravery. I just possess dry courage "he added.
According to "People," Mayer's six-day hangover from drinking at Drake's 30th birthday party served as the impetus for her decision to go sober. Since October 23, 2016, the singer has abstained from alcohol, he previously said.
Mayer also addressed his reputation as a womaniser. He has been publicly linked to Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer acknowledged his previous reputation for being unsavoury, telling host Alex Cooper, "Look, the elephant in the room is that I'm on a show that caters to women, and I have a couple of nameplates on me, like "lothario" and "womaniser," and I think that is what that is." He said.
