Amman, the capital of Jordan, will serve as the backdrop for a high-level diplomatic meeting set to take place this Saturday. The gathering will bring together foreign ministers from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt, alongside United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Their primary focus will be to discuss a potential ceasefire in Gaza, as per an official announcement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

In addition to these prominent figures, the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) will also be in attendance, according to a report from Xinhua news agency.

Before their discussions with Secretary Blinken, the Arab foreign ministers plan to hold a coordination meeting. During their meeting with the US Secretary of State, they aim to reiterate the collective Arab stance, emphasizing the pressing need for an immediate ceasefire and the prompt delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which has long been under siege.

Furthermore, the agenda of the gathering includes talks with Secretary Blinken on strategies to contain the Israel-Hamas conflict, preventing its escalation into a wider regional crisis. The participating nations are set to engage in thoughtful deliberations on how to mitigate tensions and ensure stability in the region.
