Washington: US President Donald Trump on Monday did not give a clear answer to the question asked about Pakistan's terrorists and instead called Iran as the world's largest terrorist country. He was questioned whether he supports PM Narendra Modi's statement that he has called Pakistan the centre of terrorism.

Trump once again offered to mediate on Kashmir, saying he heard PM Modi's 'very aggressive statement' at the 'Howdy Modi' function. Trump said that Islamabad had made a lot of progress in the fight against terrorism, in which a journalist asked him if he supported PM Modi's statement that Pakistan is the centre of terrorism, Trump said in response, "Well, I'm pointing more towards Iran. I mean if you look at Iran, it's a real terrorist nation and I believe it's the biggest terrorist nation in the world ".

He held press talks with Pakistan PM Imran Khan ahead of the bilateral meeting. Meanwhile, when he was asked whether he was happy with Pakistan's efforts to end terrorism, Trump said, "I have heard that he has made a lot of progress and Imran Khan wants to make tremendous progress in this area. Because there is no other option. The other path only leads to death, chaos and poverty. Your Prime Minister understands all this."
