Patna: Manish Kumar Singh, a young journalist of a news channel, has been brutally murdered in East Champaran, Bihar. Looking at the dead body, it is seen that before the murder, he has been tortured. After kidnapping him, the criminals slit his throat and strangled him to death. After which the body was dumped and fled. The father of the deceased has filed an FIR against 17 persons, including 2 of his friends in this connection. According to the father of the deceased, one of the reasons for the incident has also been attributed to misbehaviour over the reports.
Body dumped after slitting throat: According to reports, the body of Sudarshan News Channel journalist Manish Kumar Singh was found in Chanwar near Mathlohiar Gaddi Tola on Saturday night from Math Lohiar Chowk in the Harsiddhi police station area of East Champaran. After which a crowd gathered there. Areraj DSP Santosh Kumar said villagers were spraying manure in the field. Meanwhile, Manish's shoes and socks were found. The body was later pulled out of the water by the police. It is suspected that the body was dumped there after the murder by slitting the throat.
Manish's bag found at a friends house: According to DSP, Manish was accompanied by 2 friends Amarendra Kumar and Amjad Alam in Saturday's video footage. After which both of them went home and Manish went missing. Both have been taken into custody in the case. Manish's bag was found in Amarendra Kumar's house.
