Bengaluru: The Central Government announced the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5. With this announcement, the special status given to the state came to an end. People associated with the ruling party are engaged in manipulating this issue in their favour. BJP executive president JP Nadda had arrived in Bengaluru to attend a program organized on a country one constitution. Addressing the event, he said that "there was a misconception regarding Article 370 that it gives special status to Kashmir.

He said that "It has been written a lie in history. Nadda said that there were no defendants of Article 370 in the Constituent Assembly. Nobody wanted to consider it". Nadda has blamed the PDP and National Conference leaders for spreading this misunderstanding. Nadda said that it is clearly written in the Indian Constitution that article 370 is temporary and can be changed".

He said that while placing Article 370 in the Constituent Assembly, Gopalaswami Iyengar had said that Article 30 will be temporary and transitional. This article will facilitate that all the laws of the Indian Constitution apply in Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, he also targeted former Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, saying that the then Law Minister BR Ambedkar did not agree with his move.
