Lucknow: BJP national president JP Nadda will be on a tour in Lucknow from January 22 to 24. According to sources, Nadda is going to hold a major meeting with the party, which will hold talks in the wake of a possible cabinet expansion. This meeting will also decide on giving responsibility to former IAS officer Arvind Kumar Sharma.
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet is said to be in a big upset before the election. Several ministers' portfolios can also be changed. Recently, CM Yogi Adityanath had met PM Modi and the BJP high command to discuss the cabinet expansion. JP Nadda is yet to seal the cabinet expansion during his visit to Lucknow. Recently, the UP-led Gujarat cadre IAS and PM Modi's trusted officer Arvind Kumar Sharma had taken voluntary retirement. He has joined the BJP and the party has fielded him in the Legislative Council elections. There is speculation that PM Modi has sent his special constable to UP as part of a special strategy.
A daily newspaper from Gujarat had reported Arvind Sharma being made deputy CM's contender in the Yogi government. Since then, the market for speculation in the political corridors of Uttar Pradesh has been hot. However, the BJP's state office is evading the BJP's state office by saying anything about Arivand's politics.
