JSW Steel crude steel production in May climbs 31%

JSW Steel crude steel production jumped by 31% in May to 17.89 lakh tonnes on a standalone basis,  the leading flagship firm announced on Wednesday.

In May of FY21, 13.67 lakh tonnes of crude steel were produced.

The top company of the USD 22 billion JSW Group stated that its production of flat-rolled also expanded by 29 percent to 12.84 lakh tonnes for the month compared to 9.99 lakh tonnes in the same month last fiscal.

Long item output increased by 25% year over year to 3.86 lakh tonnes in May 2022. 3.09 lakh tonnes were produced in the same month the previous year. JSW Steel now has an installed annual crude steel capacity of 18 million tonnes in India, with 12.5 million tonnes per annum of flat products and 5.5 million tonnes per annum of long products.
