Junglee box office collection : Vidyut Jammwal’s film witness growth on Day 2

Vidyut Jammwal starrer Junglee is a decent performance at the box-office. The film on Saturday, saw substantial growth as it collected Rs 4.45 crore. The jump from Friday, when the film had earned Rs 3.25 crore, is 36.92 per cent, which is remarkable. Its total collection, after a two-day run, stands at Rs 7.70 crore.

Looking at the current trend, it can be said that the film will grow further on Sunday to ensure a respectable first-weekend total. In all likelihood, the film will go past the Rs 10 crore-mark, which is a really good performance for a film reportedly made on a budget of Rs 22 crore. However, the real challenge for it would be the weekdays.

Audience and more particulary Kids are loving the scences of forests. The film  involves a lot of elephants and has Jammwal performing his own action stunts, was earlier supposed to be directed by Rohan Sippy. In fact, it was Sippy who had conceptualised the film.

The action-adventure  also featuring Pooja Sawant, Asha Bhat, Atul Kulkarni and Akshay Oberoi in significant roles, is directed by Hollywood director Chuck Russell. Russell, who made his directorial debut with the 1987 film A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, has to his credit some popular films including The Mask (1994), The Scorpion King (2002) and Fringe (2010). Junglee is bankrolled by Vineet Jain and Priti Shahani under the film production banner of Junglee Pictures.
