Ranchi: A big earthquake is going to come in the politics of Jharkhand because a big and strong leader has announced to join BJP. This is going to be a big political upset after the assembly elections in the state. These leaders joining BJP are none other than the former Chief Minister of the state and Babulal Marandi, leader of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM). It is being told that in the changed political equation after the assembly elections, JVM may merge with the BJP.

Discussions have also started on both sides about this. JHVM has 3 MLAs and has supported the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) led government after the election results. The first sign of the BJP and JVM coming together recently came when the BJP postponed the decision to elect the Leader of Opposition by 14 January. According to Hindu belief, the inauspicious month will end on 14 January. Marandi on Saturday postponed the decision to dissolve the executive committee of Jhavimo and form a new team till January 14.

Though Marandi is still denying the merger, both the parties are exploring the possibility of a merger, according to sources in the BJP and JVM. A Jharkhand BJP leader said, "It is too early to say anything, but some progress is being made towards the merger." Sources in JVM said that this thing can turn into reality in the coming days.
