New Delhi: The team India has got a big shock as its opener and reserve wicketkeeper KL Rahul will not be available for the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar series. Rahul got hit in the nets during India's practice session in Melbourne on Jan 2 and got ruled out with a left wrist injury. While giving information on Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that KL Rahul's left hand wrist has been injured.
The BCCI said that Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches due to injury. The BCCI has also told that it will take Rahul about 20 days to fully recover from the injury. He will soon leave for India and take him to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for treatment.
The Border-Gavaskar series of four Test matches is going on between India and Australia. Which has had two Test matches, and the third Test match is to be held from 7 January at the Sydney Cricket Ground. KL Rahul is the third player to be injured during the Border-Gavaskar series. Isses earlier Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav were also injured and dropped out of the team for the remaining matches.
