In Samantha's next epic film 'Shakunthalam,' actor Kabir Duhan Singh, who has played wicked villains in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, will play King Asura.
Working under Gunasekhar's direction is "liberating" for Kabir, who sees 'Shakunthalam' as his "landmark project." Kabir revealed some truth ” about his involvement in the Gunasekhar film, including the fact that he had to shoot a war sequence while wearing real armour.
"The headgear was roughly 10 kilos, and the armour set was about 10 kilos," the 'Jil' actor remarked. The weight of the jewellery was added to the equation. We shot for more than ten days with those costumes. Only a few bruises and scratches were sustained. However, I believe that all of the effort has been worthwhile.
"For 'Shakunthalam,' I learned how to fight with a sword. During the shoot, the training came in handy. In 'Shakunthalam,' Dev Mohan plays King Dushyanta. We had to take part in a war sequence, which turned out magnificently."
Kabir, who had to mentally prepare himself for the long conversations, said: "Mythology, on the other hand, is one of my favourite genres. As a result, I had a great time rehearsing my dialogues, gestures, attitudes, and body language." Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays the lead in 'Shakunthalam,' while Dev Mohan, Allu Arha, and others play mythological characters in the film.
