The Kaseswaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) in Hyderabad will start from November. Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Scheme in Telangana, Bhupalpalli, multi-purpose irrigation project on godavari river in Kaleshwaram in Telangana. It brings drinking water and irrigation to backward areas of Telangana. This will help to bring groundwater to the original state by changing groundwater for irrigation to surface water use. Not only this, it also supports other drinking water projects in the state.

The work of lifting additional TMC water under Link I from the first day of project I was started, while the remaining two linkworks, which are due to commence in July this year, were delayed due to incessant rains. With the completion of the tender process, the work is expected to be faster now.

However, under Link 1, the building has completed the capacity to lift 3 TMC from Lakshmi (Medigadda) Barrage to Yellampally. This means that the work of connecting the 13 km long gravity canal from Medigada to Saraswati (Annaram), Parvati (Sundila) barrage and Kannepalli, Siripuram, and Goliwada pump houses has been completed. The gravitational canal is actually built to carry 3 TMC of water every day. In this project, installation of pumps is complete and testing is also underway.
