Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh is scheduled to merge with Panchattva today. Yes, he is going to be cremated today. As per the information received, his last rites will be performed at Narora Ghat at 2 pm today. He passed away at 9.30 p.m. last Saturday. He was 89 years old and admitted to PGI Hospital in Lucknow. It was here that he breathed his last. In fact, Kalyan Singh had been battling major and serious diseases for a long time. His condition had been critical since last Friday and his blood pressure had started falling since morning the next day. Doctors had told him that 'he was having trouble passing urine, so he was put on dialysis. Even after a lot of efforts, their situation could not improve.'

He died at 9:30 p.m. last Saturday. Veteran BJP leader Kalyan Singh Ram Bhakta was also present and his mortal remains were earlier kept at Unek residence in Lucknow itself. Several veterans including PM Modi paid their last respects here. His mortal remains were then brought to Ahilyabai Holkar Stadium in Aligarh at 6 pm on Sunday. CM Yogi was present with him and now several senior BJP leaders including CM Yogi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh are present on the last visit of former CM Kalyan Singh.

According to reports, 25 kg of sandalwood has been ordered for Kalyan Singh's funeral and he will be cremated with full rituals. You must be aware that last Saturday itself, two days of state mourning, and one day's public holiday have been declared in UP. Yes, public holidays have been declared in UP today to mourn the passing away of Kalyan Singh and all schools and offices will remain closed today.
