While many wondered if Bigg Boss Tamil would take off this year, it is now confirmed that season 3 is indeed happening. Bigg Boss Tamil is coming back with its season 3 this year. It is expected to go on air after Lok Sabha Elections 2019 results come out. Superstar Kamal Haasan will be hosting the show for the third time in a row.

The promo video for Bigg Boss Tamil 3 has been already shot in a studio. Like every year, it will have 16 contestants and will include one commoner following the ritual. Talking about the same, Times of India quoted a source as saying, "The promo shoot took place yesterday, in a studio in Poonamallee. This time, too, there will be 16 contestants which will include one commoner like in the previous two seasons. The show will begin its telecast by mid-June. New elements will be brought into the souse set, too."
In the last few months, reports had claimed that Suriya and Simbu are in the race to replace the superstar as the host of the show, states IBT. Rumors of Nayanthara hosting Bigg Boss Tamil were also rife. Bigg Boss Tamil has been enormously famous down the South. It turned to be the most watched reality TV show among the Tamil audience and the TRP went up through the roof. The first two seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil were a huge success and received an amazing response from the audience. While the first season was won by Arav, Riythvika emerged victorious in Bigg Boss Tamil 2.
