During the trailer launch event in Mumbai, actor Siddharth revealed that Kamal Haasan didn’t even drink water during the film's shooting. He said that Kamal’s makeup took three hours to complete, and the superstar sat in that look all day. Siddharth also mentioned that Kamal Haasan didn’t want anything because his makeup would get spoiled. He used a straw and was on a liquid diet. Siddharth added that Kamal Haasan used to sit for another 2.5 hours after the pack-up just to remove the makeup.
