BHOPAL: The state branch of the Congress led by Kamal Nath reviewed preparations two weeks before the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" was scheduled to enter Madhya Pradesh from Maharashtra.

On Thursday night in Bhopal, all of the top party officials and MPPC office holders gathered at Kamal Nath's home in Shyamla Hills. sources said, there will be more meetings over the following two weeks.

Kamal Nath evaluated the yatra's preparations during the meeting. For the yatra, the party leaders were given their responsibilities. "The Madhya Pradesh Congress, led by Kamal Nath, has put extensive planning into place. In Madhya Pradesh, more than a lakh people will participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra every day "said Jitu Patwari, a prominent member of the Congress.

The Pan-Indian Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi will visit the state on November 20. The Madhya Pradesh Congress has planned to organise as many as 17 sub-yatras from various parts of the state that would pass one after another and will reach Burhanpur district.
Rahul Gandhi will speak at multiple meetings, and the state party unit has also planned to host a number of activities during this time. The Madhya Pradesh Congress has planned to use the Bharat Jodo Yatra as a campaign activity in all 230 seats of the state while the state Assembly elections are also drawing nearer.

The participants would go close to 25 km per day, said Congress MLA P.C. Sharma, who is in charge of the Madhya Pradesh phase of the yatra. Along the walk, Rahul Gandhi will also engage with the crowds of onlookers. He will also pray at the well-known Mahakaleshwar temple, one of the nation's 12 Jyotirlingas, while on the yatra in the state.

Between November 20 and 21, Bharat Jodo Yatra, which will enter Madhya Pradesh from the border region of Maharashtra, will go 382 kilometres through Khandwa, Khargone, Indore, Ujjain, and Agar-Malwa. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi would also go to the Mhow district, where Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was born.

Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891, in Mhow Town, which is located about 25 miles from Indore. The state government has built a grand memorial in his honour in the town.
