Bhopal: The sequence of statements regarding the proposed by-elections on 28 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh has intensified. Leaders are lashing out at each other. Former CM and Congress leader Kamal Nath has hit back at the current CM Shivraj Singh's statement of calling IIFA Awards a pageant.

Attacking the government, Kamal Nath has said that the public should decide what is a pageant and what is not, who is going to decide this? Congress state unit president Kamal Nath targeted the Shivraj government and said that CM Shivraj, who had only done pageant during his 15 years as CM, is calling an event like IIFA a pageant.

Kamal Nath further said that under CM Shivraj's rule, the state was identified with the mafia, adulteration, people have witnessed only such kind of events. The Congress leader said that Shivraj lies so much that the lie should be blamed, sometimes he says that our government allotted money for IIFA, whereas we neither made any provision for IIFA in the budget".
