Dharwad:Amid ongoing polling in Karnataka for assembly polls 2018 BJP workers staged protest outside Booth No. 58 in Karadigudda, alleging that polling staff at the booth were asking people to vote for Congress candidate Vinay Kulkarni. EC officials present at the spot.

With  the excitement and worries for Karnataka assembly polls, remarks from Lawnmakers continuasaly making headlines.

“We are very-very confident that Congress party will come back to power with complete majority, we will win over 120 seats. There is no Modi wave in the state”, said CM Siddaramaiah in Mysuru's Varuna

As voting in Karnataka continues, CM Siddaramaiah said, 'Yeddyurappa is mentally disturbed. Congress will get more than 120 seats. I am very confident’.

A total of 24 percent voting has been cast in the Karnataka assembly elections so far. Over a total of 4.96 crore voters, who have voted for 222 seats out of 224, are going to decide the fate of more than 2600 candidates.

Overall 222 constituencies have recorded 24% voting till 11am. Election commission officials said the trend as of now is better compared to that of 2013 polls. While A Pink Polling Station in Mogaveerpatna of Ullal in Mangaluru constituency recorded just 19.90% polling by 11am. On the other hand Udupi district records 15.74% at 10am.
