Actor Kanchan Gupta, is best known for her roles in shows like Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai and Kya Haal, Mr. Paanchal and now she plays the role of a mother-in-law Anandi in the show Anandi Baa Aur Emily, Kanchan certainly feels that we should worship our daughter-in-laws as they leave everything to adapt to a new environment.

Anandi Baa aur Emily, a light hearted show which mainly focuses on the lives of two women, the mother and daughter-in-law, is filled with twists and turns and the X factor put in by actress Kanchan Gupta, who is playing Anandi Baa in the show.

Spilling the beans about how she is in real life and how her character relates to her reel life, Kanchan shares, “My character Anandi Baa in the show is very different from the usual mother-in-law characters which are portrayed in various other shows in our television industry because she worships her daughter- in-law and she preaches everyone to do so too.”

She further revealed, “The way we worship the goddesses in our house similarly we should also worship our daughter-in-laws as they leave their house, their environment which they are comfortable in they leave it all and except the new environment which they are married in. Giving love, sacrifices, taking care of the house, keeping a family’s respect and keeping the family together. All this is not at all easy. It is very difficult. Anandi Baa is an inspiration according to me as this character is reaching out to the masses with her high values and not so usual dramatic mother-in-law as people witness in reel and real life.”
