Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is in great trouble these days. In fact, she made a controversial statement on the Sikh  community and is scheduled to appear before the Mumbai Police today due to a case related to it. In fact, Kangana was supposed to go to Mumbai's Khar police station last Wednesday and record her statement, though she could not go there due to any personal work. According to media reports, Kangana Ranaut is likely to reach Khar police station around 11 am today to record her statement. Tell all of you that Kangana had allegedly linked the farmers' movement to a separatist group in one of her social media posts and commented on the Sikh community. A Sikh organisation complained after his remarks.

An FIR was lodged against Ranaut at Khar police station last month following the same complaint. Kangana has to appear before the Mumbai Police and take a stand on the same FIR. The police had earlier this month issued a notice to Kangana for questioning. Kangana Ranaut's lawyer had then clarified to the Bombay High Court that she would appear before the Khar police on December 22. However, when Kangana did not appear last Wednesday, her lawyer requested for a second date to appear. Last Wednesday, Kangana's lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui said, "In accordance with the spirit, purpose and intention of the High Court order, we requested the investigating officer for an earlier date and we wanted to expedite the process before the next hearing of the court. The investigating officers were not ready to accommodate us. He neither responded to my phone calls nor messages, nor did he respond to the letter that was sent to him immediately after the order. ”

He further told the court, "Now my client will appear before him on any other near date available. If the authorities do not give us time, we will leave the matter to the High Court which will decide on the basis of its merits. Let me tell you that earlier the Mumbai Police had told the Bombay High Court that it would not arrest Ranaut till January 25, 2022 over his social media post in which the farmers' protest was allegedly linked to a separatist group. At that time, the High Court had said that the subject was related to Kangana's fundamental right to freedom of expression. The court had then granted interim relief to Kangana from her arrest.
