Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film 'Emergency' has got a big relief from the censor board. After a long controversy, the censor board has given this film a UA certification. Now this film can be released in theaters soon. However, for this, the makers of the film will first have to make some cuts and changes suggested by the censor board.

Three cuts suggested

According to The Sunday Express, the censor board has suggested three major cuts for the film 'Emergency'. According to the information, the makers submitted this film to the censor board for certification on July 8. About a month later, Shiromani Akali Dal and some Sikh organizations demanded a ban on the film. After this, the censor board suggested 10 changes and cuts to the production house of the film.

Some scenes will have to be removed from the film

The film's production house, Manikarnika Films Pvt Ltd, has accepted 9 out of 10 changes suggested by the censor board. One of the major changes is to a scene in the film where Pakistani soldiers are shown attacking Bangladeshi refugees. In this scene, a soldier is shown beheading a child, and another soldier is shown beheading three women. The censor board has suggested that this scene be either removed or changed.

Dialogue and name change

Apart from this, the censor board has also advised to change an abusive word uttered by the crowd on the death of a leader in the film. Instructions have also been given to change the surname used in the film. The board has said that the use of this surname is not correct and it should be changed.

Advice on providing research and data

The censor board has also directed to provide clear information about the sources of research and data of the film. This includes information related to Bangladeshi refugees, details of court decisions, and permission to use archive footage of Operation Bluestar. The board says that the audience has the right to know what is the basis of the facts shown in the film and for this, certified sources should be mentioned.

New release date of 'Emergency' will come soon

Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' was earlier scheduled to be released on September 6, but it was postponed due to lack of certification from the censor board. Now that the film has got clearance from the censor board, it is expected that the makers will soon announce the new release date of the film. The makers of the film hope that after making these changes and cuts, there will be no further hindrance in the release of the film, and the audience will be able to watch it on the big screen soon.
