New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has arrived in Texas for a series of interactions in Washington DC and Dallas, including a visit to the University of Texas.
In a social media post, Gandhi expressed his anticipation for the meaningful discussions aimed at strengthening US-India relations. He stated, "I eagerly look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and insightful conversations that will further strengthen the bond between our two nations during this visit."
Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda shared that there has been significant interest from the Indian diaspora, diplomats, academicians, businesspersons, leaders, and international media for meetings with Gandhi. "Since Rahul Gandhi has become the leader of Opposition, I have been bombarded with requests for interactions from various sectors," Pitroda mentioned in a video statement.
Gandhi's schedule includes meetings with the local Indian community, technocrats, and leaders in Dallas, followed by further interactions in Washington DC. Gandhi, who celebrated his 54th birthday in June, has served as an MP for five terms and currently represents Rae Bareli, previously held by his mother, Sonia Gandhi.
