K V Raju, a veteran Kannada filmmaker, passed away this morning at his Bengaluru home. The filmmaker died after a protracted illness. Sandalwood celebrities flocked to social media to express their sorrow over K V Raju's death. Raghu V Shastry and Arasu Anthare, both filmmakers, paid tribute to their colleague.

On Twitter, actor Sai Kumar also sent a meaningful message. "I am startled and grieved to learn about KV Raju avaru's sudden death," he added. My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and fans. #KVRaju #OmShanti." KV Raju's mortal remains are now in his house, and his last rights are scheduled for tomorrow. Others also paid their respects to the seasoned visionary.

 

K V Raju began his career as an assistant director on the 1982 film Baddada Hoo. Olave Baduku, his first picture as an independent filmmaker, was released in 1984. Yuddhakanda, Belli Modagalu, Huliya, and Belli Kalungura were among his most successful films. Indrajeet, the director's first Bollywood film, was released in 1991. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada appeared in the film.

In 1994, he directed Udhar Ki Zindagi, and in 2004, he directed Khooni Jung. Devraj, Jaggesh, and Shashikumar, who are now household names in the Sandalwood business, were all discovered by the director. In films, he was recognised for his realistic speech. One of his final projects was writing the screenplay for Tiger Galli.
