Lucknow: The major negligence of the health department has come to light in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here, in the eye camp of a nursing home, 6 patients who underwent cataract surgery lost their eyesight. After the treatment, they couldn't see anything. After visiting the hospital for several days, the patients now complained to the CMO. After which the CMO issued orders for an immediate inquiry. Because this camp was organized under the DBCS scheme on the basis of permission of the CMO.

According to reports, these patients, residents of Shivrajpur, had undergone cataract surgery on November 2 at a free eye camp organized at Aaradhya Nursing, Kanpur South. The operation of these patients was done by Dr. Neeraj Gupta. After the operation, the people of the hospital left all these patients in the village on the same day. These patients allege that after the operation, pain in their eyes started. After that, water started coming out of the eyes slowly, and then the vision stopped.

Patients have told that after the operation, the light of their eyes went away. When we went to the hospital and complained about it, the hospital staff gave us pills and sent us back. Now we have given a complaint to the CMO.
