Kanpur: The builders of the city have now come under the scanner in connection with the violence that took place in the New Road area of the Baconganj police station area after the Jumei prayers on June 3. The police have registered a case against eight builders on the charge of funding the miscreants. Yes, according to the information received recently, the police have registered a case against the Officer of Special Duty of Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) and started an investigation. Not only this, but after the interrogation of mastermind Zafar Hayat Hashmi and three other accused so far, 20 builders of the city are also on the radar of the police. In the interrogation of the ATS, Zafar has also taken the name of the builders.

The press note issued by the police commissioner said, "The enforcement team of the authority was paraded by Salim alias Janivakar and Haji Wasi on Sunday and the illegal constructions being carried out in Chakeri area and the premises were sealed in the presence of the regional police. It is alleged that these builders were constructing the premises sealed by the authority a month ago by breaking the seal. And in this case, an FIR has also been lodged by the KDA at the concerned police stations.

In the Kanpur violence case, the police are taking strict action. According to the information received, the interrogation of the mastermind Zafar Hayat Hashmi has revealed that the builder Salim alias Johnny Walker, Haji Wasi, the owner of HS has funded the miscreants for the violence. However, at present, the police have sealed their property on the complaint of KDA and now the further investigation is being done to see who gave how much money. Many other builders coming in could also come under the radar of the police.
