Kapil Dev, former Indian cricketer, while launching the book 'Numbers Do Lie: 61 Hidden Cricket Stories' tagged Captain of Indian Cricket team Virat Kohli as the best batsman he has ever seen and he is a combination of both Sachin Tendulkar and Viv Richards.

Just when India started their home season against New Zealand last year, Virat Kohli amazed 1206 runs in 9 Test matches. The details of the four double centuries Virat has made is being discussed everywhere. After all that Kapil Dev wants him too soon hit a triple century milestone.

He said "You can't expect a player to score 10 double centuries in 10 matches but scoring four double tons in 8-10 matches is incredible. I still feel he could have scored a triple century against Bangladesh in Hyderabad because he has it in him to go past that milestone. Hopefully, we will see that against Australia."

Commenting in the favor of India, Kapil said "I personally feel Australia will be a bigger challenge, but I don't think Virat feels that way. I hope Virat is right and I am wrong. I believe this team has more strength to dominate the bowlers but it also depends on the pitches. Three of these venues - Pune, Ranchi and Dharamsala - will host a Test match for the first time. So we don't know how the pitches will behave."

Convinced a lot by the Virat's batting, Kapil Dev uttered "We have to give credit to Virat because as a captain, he has brought a positive energy to this side. Virat is very different from the way Dhoni and Ganguly led India. Virat's aggression reflects in how the team carries itself. His work ethic and attitude towards the game is incredible. I remember after the Mohali win in which he scored a 150, he went to his team hotel and asked staff to open the gymnasium at 11 pm because he wanted to train."
