Karan Johar is known for his larger than life movies that keep his audience delighted and are the typical dream sellers.
Recently, the Koffee host took to his Twitter handle and announced about his upcoming venture which is a multi starer.
The new project is called Takht, which shall be helmed by Karan Johar himself.
The movie will be a period drama and its plot has been knitted around the Mughal dynasty.
Ranveer Singh shall be seen portraying the role of Dara Shukoh, while Vicky Kaushal would play his brother, Aurangzeb.
Alia shall play Ranveer’s love interest, while Kareena shall play his sister.
Kareena and Ranveer have often expressed their wish to work with each other. Well, a lot of directors did try, but only Karan could make it possible, to bring the two hotties in a single frame.
Karan shared a poster, announcing the star cast of the movie.
The movie shall star Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor.
It is being speculated that the movie would release by 2020.
Karan’s last directorial venture was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles.
