The 2017 released film Hindi Mediumstarring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar revolved around the story of a young couple, who is ensuring to give their child the best education. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, critics and audiences praised the film for the comedy drama. It was recently announced that a sequel to this film would be happening and from the original cast Irrfan has been retained. However, fans were curious to know who would be roped in opposite the lead actor. Then came in reports of Kareena Kapoor Kapoor Khan been approached. And now, details of the actress’ role in the film.

Here it is to be noted that Kareena Kapoor Khan just has a cameo appearance in the film. But now a source close to source report has revealed that Bebo’s role in the film is quite an important one and it is more than a cameo. Apparently, Kareena would be seen playing the role of a police officer. The source was quoted saying, “While the film kicks off in April, Kareena will join the unit only by May-end during the London schedule. She will be seen as a cop in the satire. While she loved the script, Kareena was just as excited to play a police officer for the first time in her 19-year-long career. She intends to wrap up the sequel by November, in time to begin shooting for Karan Johar's period drama Takht.”

However, it is worth mentioning that Kareena Kapoor Khan's choice of roles has always been an intriguing one and yes, this is the first time we would get to see her as a lady cop in a film. Besides the sequel of Hindi Medium, Bebo has many other projects in her kitty – Good News, Takht and a special dance number in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3.
