Karnataka cabinet to withdraw 35 criminal cases

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Cabinet has determined to withdraw 35 criminal cases recorded in various police stations of the state. The suggestion of a subcommittee informed the Cabinet's decision.

The Cabinet approved the appointment of civic workers as government employees during the meeting that was conducted on Monday evening. The decision to authorise the employment of civic workers who were executing tasks on an outsourcing basis as government employees was made at the end of the meeting at the Vidhan Soudha.

In accordance with the special recruitment guidelines, the government would use this to appoint 11,133 civil servants working for Municipal Corporations and other local organisations in the state as government employees.

3,673 members of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), 5,533 municipal council employees, and 1,927 employees of municipal corporations work under contract. The conference came to a conclusion with the announcement that hiring will now be done as government employees, with civil servants earning between Rs 17,000 and 28,980 a month.

The merger of the Pre University (PU) and SSLC test boards was also announced at the Cabinet meeting in Karnataka.

In light of the financial loss and the requirement for more staff at these educational organisations, the merging was approved.

The Cabinet made a decision about "mutual transfer of instructors" as well. When the same subject's two professors concur, such transfers are permitted.

A law pertaining to the transfer of teachers will be introduced in the House today, according to the Cabinet.

The Below the Poverty Line (BPL) cards of the SC and ST community are to receive 75 free power units, according to an order from the Basavaraj Bommai-led administration.

Children of farmers and fishermen will now be eligible for the Chief Minister's Education Fund Scheme.

The Bangalore Metropolitan Land Transport Authority Bill would now be introduced in the House, the state cabinet further agreed.
