Former MP Mede Gowda passes away, Karnataka CM expresses grief

New Delhi: Former MP Mede Gowda has passed away. According to information received, he passed away last Saturday at Mandya Hospital. He was 93 years old. Mede Gowda was reportedly admitted to the hospital due to his age-related illness. Mede has two sons and two daughters. Let us also tell you that he graduated from Maharaja College in Mysore. In fact, he was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and participated in the freedom struggle.

 

 

He then went to jail various times between 1942 and 1947. At the same time, his participation in the freedom movement laid the foundation for his political life. He was a six-time MLA from Kirugaonlu assembly constituency between 1962 and 1989 and was elected to the Ninth and 10th Lok Sabhas. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa today condoled the passing away of Gowda.

In fact, he said in a condolence message, "Gowda imbibed Gandhi's teachings and was at the forefront of the Cauvery river movement.'' Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa also tweeted: "It is very sad to hear the news of the death of Mr. G. Madhagoward, a senior farmer, a former minister, and a former MP. With his death, Nadu has lost a lot of senior fighters. I pray that God may grant peace to his soul, to his family, and to his fans.'' Similarly, others have also expressed grief.
