Karnataka : The Industries Department has authorised 87 industrial projects worth Rs.4,236.26 crore in the state, which will employ around 12,251 people. These projects were approved at the 128th State Level Single Window Clearance Committee meeting, which was chaired by Murugesh R. Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries.
The committee evaluated and approved 13 major large and medium-sized industrial projects totaling more than Rs.50 crore in investment. These initiatives, totaling Rs. 2,986.80 crore, are estimated to provide jobs for 4,660 people in the state.
In addition, 74 additional projects worth more than Rs.15 crore but less than Rs.50 crore were approved. These projects, costing a total of Rs.1249.46 crore, will employ 7,591 people in the state. In total, Rs. 4,236.26 crore in investments were approved, with 12,251 persons potentially employed.
Among new investments approved are Tecchren Batteries Private Ltd for Rs 480 crore. Rs 340 crore project by Neotrex Steel Private Ltd. Rs 313.20 crore investment by Siemens Healthcare Pvt Ltd. Rs 306.82 crore project by Supreme Sugars Private Ltd. Rs 276 crore project by Pawan Shakti Papers Private Ltd and Rs 276 crore investment by Tantia Papers Private Ltd.
