The most awaited cabinet expansion is to take place at the earliest informed the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa today. He said, a talk with the party high command in this regard will be organised, soon after the assembly bypoll results on November 10.

CM said, "Our candidates are going to win with a huge margin in both Sira and Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituencies, results of which will be declared on November 10. On that day or after that I will go to Delhi or talk to our national president (JP Nadda) and Amit Shah (union home minister)over phone and discuss about expanding the cabinet at the earliest". Last September he went to Delhi to seek approval from the high command for the cabinet expansion, but did not succeed in his attempt. That time, he hinted a possibility of shuffling if party wish.

The cabinet expansion or reshuffling is not a calkwalk for CM as the number of aspirants are high. To mention a few, 8-time MLA Umesh Katti is waiting for a chance to be inducted into the Ministry, Congress-JD(S) rebels like A H Vishwanath, R Shankar and M T B Nagaraj are looking for their slots. If Munirathna wins RR nagar, CM has to keep a space for him as per the gentleman agreement, and Pratap Gowda Patil ought to win Maski. The cabinet currently has 28 members, and six berths are still vacant.
