Bangalore: A Congress leader's objectionable statement about women has come to light. In Karnataka, Congress MLA Priyank Kharge has made controversial remarks on women in the process of surrounding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has made serious allegations against the BJP-led state government.

Attacking the BJP, Kharge said young women have to bribe men to get government jobs in the state. He said "In Karnataka, women have to sleep with someone to get a government job. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Kharge also demanded a judicial probe or a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the recruitment scams.'' Along with this, he also said that fast-track courts should be set up. Kharge also accused the BJP of rampant corruption in recruitment to various posts.

He said "The government has decided to sell the posts. If young women want government jobs, they have to sleep with someone. While men have to pay bribes to get government jobs.'' Kharge further said, "A minister had told a young woman that if you want a government job, you have to sleep together. However, he later had to resign after the scam came to light.'’
