BANGALORE: Even as Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's accusations that the previous Congress government was to responsible for the severe waterlogging brought on by the "heaviest downpour in the past 90 years," relentless rain continued to wreck havoc throughout Karnataka, particularly in Bangalore.

India's capital city, known as Silicon Valley, took the brunt of the damage to its arterial roadways and approach roads in areas where large IT companies are still overpopulated.

Chief Minister on Tuesday, Karnataka has seen exceptional rains, particularly in some parts of Bangalore. "The state, and Bangalore  n particular, experienced the highest rainfall in the previous 90 years. All waterbodies that are already full of water have been filled due to the constant rain. However, it is anticipated that the entire Bangalore  will be under water,  CM Bommai said.

He claimed that there isn't really a problem with Bangalore  as a whole. "Two zones, particularly Mahadevapura zone, is having issues since it has 69 tanks packed into a compact space and all lakes are above capacity.
Second, he claimed that lower-level establishments and encroachments are both key causes of the current state of affairs.

He categorically laid the blame for the situation on the opposition Congress, saying: "Unplanned development and mismanagement during its time has resulted in flood crisis in Bangalore ." Building permits were carelessly given for projects near lakes, lake bunds, and buffer zones. They did not bother to consider lake management. He emphasised that Congress is to blame for the current catastrophe.

"This is a challenge I've accepted. A grant worth Rs. 1,500 crore and an additional Rs. 300 crore have been made available. Future action would be taken to prevent encroachments, said chief minister Bommai. He said that a Central team would be here on Tuesday to talk about the flood situation.

Due to the Arkavathy River's overflow, the Mysuru-Bangalore  Roadways are seen increased traffic. The stretch's underpasses are all flooded.

Due to the severe rains, the pick-up location at Bangalore  International Airport (BIAL) was submerged.
