A total of 24 percent voting has been cast in the Karnataka assembly elections so far. Over a total of 4.96 crore voters, who have voted for 222 seats out of 224, are going to decide the fate of more than 2600 candidates.

  • 111-year-old Shivakumara Swami of Siddaganga Matha casts his vote at Tumakuru Siddaganga Mutt booth.
  • Overall 222 constituencies have recorded 24% voting till 11am. Election commission officials said the trend as of now is better compared to that of 2013 polls.
  • Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district records a high polling percentage of 30% at 11am. Traditionally Sullia always ends up with a polling percentage in excess of 80%.
  • A Pink Polling Station in Mogaveerpatna of Ullal in Mangaluru constituency recorded just 19.90% polling by 11am
  • -Udupi district records 15.74% at 10am.
  • -The spiritual master Sri Ravi Shankar also cast his vote.
  • -A discount of 1 rupee on petrol and diesel to Indian voters who vote for the voters in Telgi.
  • Former cricketer Rahul Dravid, voted in Indra Nagar of Bangalore
  • 10.45 percent voting till 9.30 am
  • Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that BJP will not get more than 60-70 seats. He said that BJP is looking forward to forming a government, but it will not happen.
  • HD Kumaraswamy and wife Anitha after casting their vote in Ramanagara.
