Karnataka assembly elections: Congress releases third list of candidates

Bangalore: Congress has released the third list of 43 candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections. Congress has fielded former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi from the Athani seat. Whereas, Kothurji Manjunath has been made the candidate from the Kolar seat. Earlier, the Karnataka Congress released two lists of candidates for the assembly elections.

Let us tell you that the Congress released the first list of 124 candidates on March 25 itself. Whereas the second list, containing 42 candidates, was released on April 6. According to the third list, Congress has given tickets to Srinivas Kariyana from Shimoga Rural and HC Yogesh from Shimoga. Whereas, from Bellary, the party has fielded Nara Bharat Reddy. The Congress has fielded Pradeep Eshwar Iyer from the Chikballapur seat, RK Ramesh from Bangalore South, Banavasi Rangaswami from Hassan, and K.K. Has reposed faith in Harish Gowda.

 

From the Congress side, CM candidate DK Shivkumar will contest from Kanakapura and Siddaramaiah from Varuna. However, Siddaramaiah had expressed his desire to contest from the Kolar seat, from which the party has now fielded Kothurji Manjunath.
