Karnataka government has announced a complete lockdown till August 2. The government has said that there will be a complete lockdown on Sunday 5 July and this will continue till the next four Sundays. Necessary activities will be allowed during the night curfew even in Sunday's lockdown. Apart from this, marriage programs already decided on Sunday will be allowed as per norms.

The government has ordered that all government offices, boards, and corporations will be closed on all Saturdays till the second week of August, except those who conduct and maintain essential services. Lockdown in the Containment Zone will continue as applicable. The same has been said about Sunday's lockdown, "Sunday will be a complete lockdown on July 5, 2020, and will continue until the next 4 Sundays until August 2, 2020."  

Apart from this, weddings already decided on Sunday will be allowed as per Annex 1. The order issued regarding the Government of Karnataka and related offices states that apart from operating and maintaining essential services from July 10, 2020, all government offices/boards and corporations will be closed on Saturday until the second week of August. The Containment Zone will be notified on the websites. Only necessary activities will be allowed in the Containment Zone. It will be ensured that there is no movement of people in or out of these areas to facilitate the supply of essential goods and services.
