Bengaluru: As the war against corona infection in India continues, several Karnataka police personnel have come forward to provide blood plasma for the treatment of corona patients. State Director General of Police Pravin Sood gave this information. Fifteen policemen of the State Reserve Police and State Industrial Security Force have so far donated plasma among the personnel who have been recovered from the corona infection virus.

Sharing this information on Twitter, on Tuesday, Sood spoke about these policemen that they are not only Corona warriors, but also 'protectors' who save the lives of people. The DGP tweeted, "All these are not only Corona warriors, but also defenders." 6 policemen of KSISF donated plasma after recovering from Corona." He has said that 9 KSRP policemen have also donated plasma and forty policemen are also coming forward for their contribution in this fight." Many personnel of regular police forces have also donated plasma.

More than two thousand policemen have been infected with the Corona so far in the state and some have died of it. So far, 2.91 lakh people in the state have been infected with Corona infection, out of which 2.04 lakh people have been discharged from hospitals after recovering. 82,410 people are undergoing treatment and 4,958 people have died of this infection.
