In the Belagavi district between lockdown and corona transition, an inspector has been suspended for assaulting, handcuffing, chaining and arresting a CRPF commando on charges of lockdown violation. The CRPF had written a strong protest against the incident with its commandos by writing a letter to the Director-General of Police of the state.

On Thursday, police said that Daroga Anil Kumar, posted at Sadalga police station in Belagavi (Belgaum) district, has been suspended for not handling the case related to Commando Sachin Sawant. The investigation has also been started against them.
