New Delhi: The Kartarpur corridor reopened on Wednesday, 611 days after receiving approval from the Indian government. Pakistani officials and the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee gave a warm welcome to the first group of Indian pilgrims who arrived to pay their respects. They congratulated the Indian devotees on the reopening of the corridor and greeted them with flowers. Devotees who returned after visiting Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to the Indian government.

Prabhajot Singh, a Delhi resident who returned after visiting the Gurudwara via the Kartarpur corridor, expressed his gratitude to the Central government for reopening the corridor in response to Sikh devotees' long-standing demand. Prabhajot Singh explained that he and his colleagues submitted an application directly to the Home Ministry of the Government of India, and that after receiving clearance, he came to visit.

When Prabhajot Singh arrived in Pakistan, the superintendent of the gurudwara there came 20 months later, greeted by a group of devotees with flower garlands. And they get the same kind of affection in Pakistan as they do in India.
