Karwa Chauth is one of the most auspicious festival, especially for the ladies and married women are very excited for this auspicious occasion. It will fall on October 13 this year. The festival is observed by married Hindu women, who keep nirjala fasts for the long lives of their husbands It is also known as Karak Chaturthi, is right around the corner. It is observed during Krishna Paksha Chaturthi of Kartik month. The festival holds much significance for married Hindu women. On the one hand various bollywood actresses celebrates the occasion meanwhile on the other hand there are some actresses who made fun of the festival.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: Kareena Kapoor who is married to a Muslim actor Saif Ali Khan once made fun of the festival. They have been married for almost 10 years but have never kept the Karva Chauth fast and it is totally her wish but once the actress made fun of the other women who kept this fast. She once Kareena said that when other women are hungry, I will eat a lot. I don’t need to be hungry to prove my love.
Ratna Pathak: The Actress Ratna Pathak, wife of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is very vocal on different issues., Ratna had mocked the women who observed the Karva Chauth fast. She had said that ‘our society is becoming very conservative. Actress Ratna Pathak insulted Hindus and gave objectionable statements about Karva Chauth. The actress said. “ I feel these things fervently. We are also becoming very superstitious. To date, no one has asked me why you are not observing the Karva Chauth fast. But last year for the first time someone asked me. I thought, ‘Is someone crazy? Isn’t it strange that even educated women observe the Karva Chauth fast for the long life of her husband?”

Twinkle Khanna: Wife of Akshay Kumar Twinkle Khanna once called the festival useless. She tweeted, “These days by 40 u could be on the way to your 2nd marriage so what’s the point of fasting-don’t need the men to last that long anymore:)”. After this, Twinkle Khanna suffered a lot. Twinkle Khanna also kept the figures and said that 'there are 100 countries where men live more than Indian men even without fasting'.
