Varanasi's international basketball player and captain of the Indian male team Vishesh Bhriguwanshi has been selected for the Arjun Award from one of the country's prestigious sports titles. Confirming that Bhupendra Sahi, general secretary of Uttar Pradesh Basketball Association, has wished him.

Bhupendra Shahi said that Vishesh Bhriguvanshi's name has been selected for the Arjun Award for the year 2020. After 15 years, this award will be given to a male basketball player. The Sangh had also sent the names of international players Raspreet Sidhu and Arvind Annadurai to the ministry along with Vishesh Bhriguvanshi for the Arjun Award, in which the name of Vishesh is stamped.

Vishesh, resident of Bhubaneswar Nagar Colony, has captained the Indian team in many international competitions throughout his basketball career. In which recently the Indian basketball team achieved the gold medal in the South Asian Games 2019. Vishesh has been a member of the Indian basketball team since 2006. In addition, he has also been included in the top ten players in many Asian competitions. In which he was named among the top ten scorers in the 2009 Asian Championships. He also became the Most Valuable Player of the UBA Pro Basketball League Season 4 in 2017. Vishesh received the title of Asia's Best Player in Basketball without Borders in the year 2008. Vishesh Bhriguvanshi is the first Indian player to be selected for the Australian National Basketball League. With this, he has achieved many successes in his career.
