In this video Kashmir and Northeast India have been removed from the map of India. This video was first posted by the university's social media handle on June 7, 2022. Let us inform that Ashok Kumar Mittal, a Rajya Sabha member from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is the Chancellor of this university.

People have also put information about the person responsible behind this act on social media. That person is an officer of Lovely Profession University. This university was completed in the year 2005 and after 1 year in 2006, the work and teaching work had started in it. Presently Professor at Sharda University Noida and Ahrar Ahmed Lone, who is known for posting anti-Modi government posts on social media, was also a professor of this Lovely University earlier.

This is not the first incident of a university displaying a distorted map of India. On 15 June 2022, a controversial map of India was shown in the Chandigarh University Alumni section. In this map, POK (Pak Occupied Kashmir) was told as part of Pakistan. Many netizens expressed their objection to this map and demanded action. The university took cognizance of people's protest and the alumni section was removed from the official website of the university. Let us inform that Chandigarh University is also a private university like Lovely Professional University.
