As per the police, “Two siblings drowned today in Jhelum River in Sopore town of north Kashmir's Baramulla district”. Official added, “Six-year-old Falak Jan accidentally fell into the river this afternoon while playing near Jamia Masjid Qadeem”
Official said-seeing her sister slip into the river, her elder brother Rashid Ahmad Sheikh (10) jumped to rescue her but both drowned.
The official added, local residents instantly launched an operation to draw the brother-sister duo but their efforts have remained ineffective so far.
