Jammu: Recently, Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for the Prime Minister's Office of Jammu, has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, give most importance to the North-Eastern states. Dr. Jitendra told about the steps being taken by the Prime Minister for the development of Jammu and Kashmir at a high level meeting in Kohima, Nagaland. Citing the development in Nagaland, he said that the steps taken to speed up development in the North-East states are now being repeated in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

He said that in the field of development, Nagaland is becoming an example for other states and union territories of the country. Dr. Jitendra told that in the second phase of Udaan scheme, importance will be given to North Eastern states and other hilly regions of the country. Expressing happiness over the water test being successful, DC said that Kishtwar and adjoining areas need 20 lakh gallons of water. It is given 10 lakh gallons of water. With the implementation of the Newgarh project, 15 lakh gallons of additional water will be provided. In total, there will now be 25 million gallons of water. Rana said that the water problems of the people of Kishtwar region are going to be resolved. 53 crore was spent on this.
