Puran Krishna Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit was killed once again in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. And since this murder, fear has spread among the minority community living in the valley. Bhat was shot dead by militants in Shopian on Saturday and there has been an atmosphere of concern among Kashmiri Pandits since the incident.

Srinagar residents of the community reportedly paid tributes to Bhat at the Shiva temple in Indra Nagar today. At the same time, administrative officials also participated in this condolence meeting. Kashmiri Pandits, after paying tribute to Puran, met the Divisional Commissioner and then the DC Srinagar and at the same time they told them about their problems. Kashmiri Pandits said that, "If the administration facilitates online work, they can work from anywhere. This will also keep the work done and people's lives will also be saved."

Bhat's family lived in Shopian but after the onset of the pandemic, he made arrangements in Jammu for the stay of his wife and son, who is studying in Class V, and daughter studying in Class VII, a relative of Bhat said. He also said that Puran Krishna Bhat often used to go to look after his brother's apple orchard in Shopian, but he never had any problem.
