Announcing the engagement through his social media handle Vishnu Unnikrishnan has also shared a picture from the ceremony. Vishnu is seen wearing an off-white embellished kurta and Kasavu Mundu clothes, though his beautiful fiancé Aishwarya is seen wearing a dark green lehenga.

The engagement was a private ceremony held in the presence of both family and friends. The event was attended by showbiz friends of Vishnu Unnikrishnan including actors Bibin George and Haresh Kanaran. Vishnu entered showbiz as a child artist with the 2003 film 'Ente Vedu Apuvinteyum', currently starring in fame with actor 'Kattapanayil Ritwik Roshan', in which he played the lead role for the first time. Vishnu has written the script of the film along with actor Bibin George.

Vishnu wrote an essay on the role of Kichu under the direction of Nadirshah, a youth who dreams of becoming a superstar. This is a struggle for him but when he finally gets cast the main Kichu earns a lot more from the audience. Vishnu earned enormous praise for his performance and simplicity. Apart from Ros Kattapannayil Ritwik Roshan 'Vishnu Unnikrishnan has also written scripts for films like Anth Amar Akbar Anthony and Ru Oru Yamanandan Premkatha. The actor-writer is currently preparing the script for an untitled film led by Mohanlal.
