Maha shivratri, Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the festival owes its origins to several versions, one of them being a celebration of Shiva and Parvati's marriage to each other. According to some, Shivratri is celebrated as the day when Shiva saved the world from the pot of poison that emerged from the ocean during Samudra Manthan. Tomorrow marks the celebrations of one of the most auspicious and holy Maha Shivratri. . It's a festival that is dedicated to Lord Shiva which is also called as the Great Night of Shiva. On the other hand, popular folklore suggests that it was the night Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.

It is believed that offering raw, unpolished rice to the Lord Shiva will provide health and wealth to your family. not just on Shivratri, but offering water to the deity all year long can prevent members from your family from suffering from fever. But besides this, here are all the things that you need to keep in your puja ki thali for tomorrow. The most important and essential item is milk. You also need to carry a lamp to light near the lingam.  For the things to offer to Lord Shiva, ensure you also carry rose water, sandalwood paste, yogurt, honey, ghee, sugar and water, you must also keep ber or jujube fruit in the thali along with betel leaves and incense sticks to please the deity.
